Classical Choruses Music Camp

“Developing Classy Musicians Through the Classics”

For generations, musicians have turned to music of the past for the development and strengthening of their own musical skills and abilities. The Classical Choruses Music Camp, hosted by World Gospel Church, will be applying this same fundamental with a week-long intensive camp culminating in a final performance on Friday evening.

Choruses from several well-known oratorios have been arranged for the unchanged voice (ages 7-15) including Vivaldi’s Gloria, Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Dubois’ The Seven Last Words of Christ, Saint-Saéns’ Christmas Oratoiro and Stainer’s The Cruxifiction. The camp is open to the community and will be offered Monday, July 7th through Friday, July 11th from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The week will be spent learning basic fundamentals of music, vocal production, script-writing techniques and elementary music history.

The cost per child is $50 with discounts for each additional sibling. Reservations need to be made by June 30th in order to secure materials for the week. If at all possible, adults whose children attend will need to assist one day of the camp at a learning station. NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS

Hey early risers! Tad and Cathy Foster invite you to join them in the "Son-Rise" class beginning Sunday, 2 March at 8:00 a.m. The class will be focused on living successfully in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. The class will be done by 8:50 a.m. to allow plenty of time for you to attend the 9:00 a.m. service of your choice.

DIVORCE CARE SUPPORT GROUP

PARENTING CLASS

Growing Kids God’s Way meets Mondays at Adam and Jenny Wire’s (2735 Artleth). The class is designed for parents of children ages 3-8 years old. Questions, call Jenny at 236-5117.
