Alpha

Alpha is a ten week course, usually held on Thursday evenings, that presents the basic truths of Christianity. The evening consists of an excellent dinner with good conversation, a video on one of the basics of our faith, and small group discussions where  any and all thoughts on the video presentation are encouraged.  The course also includes a very rewarding weekend retreat. Open to everyone, this course will appeal to people interested in investigating Christianity, new Christians, newcomers to the Church, and anyone wanting  to recharge their faith. Kids Hope USA

This ministry outreach recruits, trains and supervises our own members to work one-on-one with Meadows Elementary School children. Our Mentors model Christ to each one of the students by sharing needed encouragement and unconditional love. Each mentor meets with the child one hour a week during the school day, at a time of his/her choosing, spending time reading together, doing academic work provided by the teacher, playing games, and talking. Nursing Home

A team provides a Sunday afternoon church service at both Meadows Manor East and Southwood health care facilities on the first Sunday of each month. Ministry opportunities involve speaking, leading singing, providing piano accompaniment, and greeting/helping residents get to and from the services. See Contacts

Visitors

During a home visit, visitors are invited to return to World Gospel and be part of the Body of Christ. A team extends a warm welcome with a loaf of bread. Contact: Church Office or Visitation Lay Ministers
