Church Foundations

swcorner church.jpg World Gospel Church was founded in 1957 by pastor Carl Froderman, a former army chaplain who felt led of God to establish a church with the world on its heart. His concern for world evangelization is reflected in the church’s name and by its continuing emphasis on missions. At the annual Missions Conference, personal faith promises are made to support the church’s missionary outreach.

Essentials

World Gospel Church believes that the Scriptures as contained in the Old and New Testaments are God’s authoritative Word and that the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed are historic statements of orthodox Christianity. We warmly urge individuals to trust Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord of their lives. We believe that the Holy Spirit is present in all Christians to enable them to live holy lives. We practice the baptism of believers and open communion. World Gospel Church is a self-governing community church of which Christ is the Head. We seek to focus on the Scriptures, to insist on the essentials of the Christian faith, and to allow for those non-essential differences that often divide Christians. We believe that if we love God supremely and one another as Christ loved us, such love will cover a multitude of sins and will fulfill the law and the prophets.
