As teachers get to know the children in their classes, they can discern the ones who need someone in their lives to help them believe in themselves. These are the childern who will thrive with some extra one-on-one attention from a caring adult, but who may otherwise fall through the cracks in our society. This is where the KIDS HOPE USA mentor comes in. By his very presence one hour every week he is telling a child he has value, he is special.
